How we serve the community
Here at Broader Custom Woodworks, we enjoy partnering with our Spokane community in many different ways. We have donated money and helped plant trees with The Lands Council. We provided a photo backdrop, cornhole boards, and adirondack chairs for Teen & Kid Closet and their event. We have also worked with Embrace Washington, who does so much for the foster community. It is our goal to use our craft to help improve the lives of those around us and promote a more sustainable future. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out their websites and maybe even make a donation!
Meet the Team
-
Henry Briggs
CO-FOUNDER
Henry Briggs has been a woodworker for over a decade. He has had a passion for designing and making unique pieces that quickly draw your attention. He was born and raised in central Illinois, but moved out to Cheney Washington only a few years ago. He quickly acquired a house with a shop and it wasn’t long before deciding to start a woodworking business and pursuing his dream of making beautiful furniture.

Garrett Trotter
CO-FOUNDER
Garrett Trotter only started his woodworking journey a few years ago, but has been obsessed with it from the time he started. He first discovered his passion after prying boards from his basement walls and turning them into his family entertainment center, with the help of Henry and his shop.
Shortly after that, Garrett and Henry decided to try and make furniture for a living and haven’t looked back since.
Garrett graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2019 and was a teacher in the Cheney School District for 3 years before deciding to pursue woodworking full time.
